What to Expect

Join Bradford Tilden for a Destination Training in Lake Lure, NC. Guests will stay at a 3-story, 4,000 square ft log cabin in the gated community of Riverbend. This beautiful, private home boasts 40 acres on Mirror Lake — just a couple miles from the famous movie set for Dirty Dancing.

Guests may enjoy free time walking the grounds, kayaking, paddle boating, swimming, or warming up in the hot tub, by the gas fireplace, or by the fire pit on the expansive, second floor deck. The indoor swimming pool is heated to approximately 88°F, and the hot tub is a comfortable 104°F. Guests will also love the home’s game room that opens up to a large, wraparound deck, and features a wood burning fireplace, card table, ping pong table, dart board, and pool table.

Meals and snacks will be served in the formal dining room that seats 8-10 people. Attendees will receive a room assignment based on preference and priority. There are 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The top floor loft has a pullout sleeper sofa along with a bedroom suite with private bath and king bed that overlooks the lake. The main floor (2nd floor) has 3 bedroom options. The first is the master bedroom suite that features cathedral ceilings, an enclosed lanai overlooking the lake, and a large, private bath with a clawfoot tub and walk-in shower. The second bedroom on the main floor has a comfortable, queen bed and large closet, and the third bedroom has a large closet with bunk beds (full-size mattress on the bottom and a twin-size mattress on the top). These bedrooms have easy access to a shared bathroom. There are two ground floor bedrooms. The first features a full-size bed with seating area, and the second has 2 queen beds, with a full-size closet and bathroom. This bedroom also has French doors that lead out to the deck and inflatable hot tub.

Electric vehicle owners may charge up from the 240V located in the garage.

There are also many places to explore in the area, such as Chimney Rock where you will be able to view the mountain range and the whole village of Lake Lure from high up on the rocks. Another is the big Lake Lure where you can water ski and fish and try other fun water sports.
