Bradford Tilden Interview with Predrag Vlatkovic of MysticMag.com

What inspired you to become a sound healer, and how did you first become interested in this field?

I was always drawn to music as a child. I started piano lessons when I was eight years old, and started composing music around the same time. I studied music in higher education. After graduating with a concentration in music composition, I became a certified massage therapist in my early 20s. I moved to San Francisco, and I was searching for something to combine my professional interests in music and massage when a friend handed me a flyer for an open house at a sound healing institute. I didn’t even know such a thing existed! Keep in mind this was almost 20 years ago when sound healing and sound baths had not yet hit the mainstream. I attended and enrolled in the program. I felt right at home. Sound healing quickly became a fundamental aspect of my career.

Can you explain the principles behind sound healing, and how it works to promote physical and emotional well-being?

There are a few key principles that can be applied to the many different types of sound healing. The process of entrainment slows down the heart rate, respiratory rate, and even the brain waves to a state of deep relaxation where healing and regeneration can occur.

Starting with a fast beat on a drum, for example, the facilitator will gradually slow the rhythm down, causing the person’s bodily rhythms to naturally slow down with it. You can move quickly from a state of agitation to one of calmness with this technique.

Sympathetic resonance is finding the right frequency that will cause a blockage, or another object, to vibrate along with it, thus freeing and releasing it from its stuck, tense state. In this way, stress, tension, anxiety, and emotional blockages can literally be vibrated, cleared, and transmuted out of the body, leaving the person aligned, balanced, and clear mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

People often feel lighter, pain-free, and unburdened after a sound healing.

Sound vibrations affect the molecular level of physical matter. In doing so they massage every cell in the body. Different sound healing instruments create different sound waves with different healing potential.

What is unique about sound healing is you can readily feel this form of energy healing. This significantly creates a parasympathetic nervous response that brings a person more quickly into a meditative state. At the same time, it replenishes and energizes the person offsetting fatigue and burn-out. Again, these are just a few of the basic principles of this very complex and profound healing modality.

You are also a crystal & gemstone healer. Can you tell us more about the crystal & gemstone healing services you provide?

Crystals and gemstones all have a unique vibration. When you place them on the body, their vibration interacts with your vibration and creating change. This is the basic principle of crystal and gemstone healing.

There are many resources that describe what stones are good for what situation. Most of this is based on evidence and intuition.

I am trained in a very special form of crystal and gemstone healing called Universal White Time Gemstone Healing. It contains advanced knowledge on utilizing the unique frequencies of different types of gemstones individually, or in combination, to affect deep healing at the atomic and subatomic level of a person. When I say “advanced,” I am referring to extraterrestrial technology.

The services I provide involve applying a gemstone layout as a treatment for a specific result. There are gemstone layouts for the physical body, such as cleansing the blood, or healing stomach and digestive issues. There are layouts for the emotional body and chakras, like strengthening the heart chakra, opening the throat chakra, etc. There are layouts to accelerate your spiritual growth, such as connecting with your higher self, opening aspects of your soul, and resonating with the new earth. And there are even layouts to connect with higher beings such as types of angels, extraterrestrials, and even cosmic consciousnesses.

This gemstone healing modality is part of the greater Universal White Time Healing modality which also incorporates energy healing that is a much higher frequency than other Earth-based energy healing modalities.

I provide certification courses in addition to private sessions. All of this is geared towards healing the individual of past trauma, healing the collective, and really accelerating spiritual growth and maximizing individual potential.

What are the similarities, and what are the differences between sound healing and crystal & gemstone healing?

Sound Healing and Crystal Healing are very similar in that they’re both vibrational healing modalities. One major difference is that gemstone healing can get very specific with the vibrations. Sound healing generally affects the overall body and energy field to clear out discordant or foreign energy, while aligning to a coherent geometric structure the sound creates. But this is largely impermanent.

Gemstone Healing goes deep into the atomic and subatomic level much deeper than sound healing can access. Therefore, crystal and gemstone healing have a more lasting effect — up to 4 years on average.

One of my clients describes it as “permanent, lasting change.”

How do you customize your sessions for individual clients?

Sessions can be in person or over Zoom. I always have some sort of intake to get an idea of what’s going on for my client and what their intention is for the session.

With that knowledge, I work with my own guides and my client’s guides to intuitively create the best experience for the client.

I begin by determining which gemstone layout I will use during the session. While they receive the gemstone treatment, I craft a balance of energy healing and sound healing usually using my voice and crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, a drum, and a rattle. I also call in various archangels, ascended masters, and light beings to assist.

Sometimes even a person’s ancestors will come to make an appearance with a message, or to help with the healing.

How do you see the future of sound healing, and how do you see this practice evolving in the coming years?

Advances in medical sound applications are extraordinary. There is an organization that is currently mapping the frequency of all the organs in the body and all of the frequency deficiencies that are related to the development of chronic diseases and genetic predispositions.

With this knowledge, we can literally bring our bodies back in tune with sound. This translates to vibrant health and longevity.

In the wellness world, sound baths are becoming very popular. People are finding it easier to meditate with sound versus silence. It’s generally quite easy to play a sound-healing instrument. I often say that anyone can bang a bowl, but it takes more than that to be a true sound healer.

The importance of inner work when working with sound is essential in order for the sound frequencies to carry the integrity of healing.

What I see is that more and more people are going to develop a personal practice of sound healing — whether with crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, or the voice itself. I believe sound is going to be integrated into daily life as a wonderful means of managing stress, processing emotions, and staying balanced and aligned in these increasingly dynamic times.
